Hi, I'm Nikki
Hello and thank you for visiting my site! I'm thrilled to have you here. My mother was a talented sewist who crafted beautiful dresses and skirts for me. I often watched her create our clothes and even a full wardrobe for one of my sisters for the new school year. Although I appreciated her skills, sewing never captured my interest as a hobby.
After graduating high school, I moved Atlanta for college and spent 20 years there, surrounded by friends who were sewists. It from them that I discovered how perfectly fitting clothes could enhance my cur figure, something I’ve always embraced. Realizing the importance of a good relationship with a sewist and tailor transformed my wardrobe. However, after moving back to the Northeast, I found myself back in stores and disliking it., I still didn’t consider learning to sew. In 2020,
I made a resolution to focus on myself, and little did I know that the pandemic would grant me the time to dive into sewing and learn the craft. I created an Instagram page for my sewing journey, connecting with wonderful individuals and gaining valuable knowledge. In first year of sewing,
I achieved a lot, including being a guest editor for SEW OVER 50, which boosted my confidence and allowed me to engage with the vibrant sewing community. I also had the pleasure of testing patterns for various companies! This journey has been incredible. I started this blog to share my experiences, connect with fellow creatives, and explore collaboration opportunities. Let’s connect and create together!
