Purple Reign

We were asked to wear purple and black for our 49th Church anniversary. Unfortunately, I didn't have anything in my collection that suited this request.

Initially, I bought a purple fabric online, but it turned out to be a bit too bright for my taste. I cut the pants, but I hesitated as the fabric sat on my sewing table. After a few days, I went to Joann's and bought another purple fabric. It's not something I would usually choose, but as a last-minute replacement, it worked fine.

I selected two patterns from Mimi G's @sewitacademy. The pants are a true TNT for me. I've made these pants in almost any fabric you can think of. They fit perfectly after my modifications, can be dressed up or down, and are simple to make.

The vest is a new pattern from @sewitacademy, and I love it. I decided to line it with a floral fabric that matched perfectly. Luckily, the lining material was already in my stash.

I was quite pleased with the fit!
